TERMS OF SERVICE

Last updated: 25 September 2026

These Terms of Service apply to purchases made through the Aona Healthcare website operated by Aona Healthcare Group Limited.

By using this website or placing an order through it, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the website or place an order.

1. About Aona Healthcare

The website is operated by:

Aona Healthcare Group Limited
Unit 7, Northwest Business Park
Collooney, Co. Sligo
Ireland
F91 WP0Y

Telephone: +353 71 9173454
Email: info@aonahealthcare.com

References in these Terms to “Aona Healthcare”, “Aona”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean Aona Healthcare Group Limited.

2. Our Products

Aona Healthcare supplies mobility, rehabilitation, adaptive cycling, healthcare and related products.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, specifications, prices and other information displayed on the website are accurate and up to date.

However, manufacturers may change product specifications, colours, configurations or features from time to time. Where appropriate, the product supplied will be the manufacturer's current specification.

Where a product is available in different configurations or requires assessment, fitting, sizing or configuration, we may contact you before fulfilling the order to confirm the appropriate product or configuration.

3. Healthcare and Mobility Products

Information provided on this website is intended to describe products and their features. It is not medical advice, clinical advice or a substitute for an assessment by an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Where a product is intended for use by a particular individual, you are responsible for ensuring that the product selected is appropriate for that person's needs unless Aona Healthcare has expressly agreed to provide an assessment or professional service.

Where appropriate, we recommend consulting an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, clinician or other suitably qualified professional before purchasing specialist equipment.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.

4. Product Prices

All prices displayed on the website are in euro (€).

Where applicable, VAT is included in the displayed consumer price.

Prices may change from time to time, but changes will not affect an order that we have already accepted, except where required by law or where there has been an obvious pricing error.

We reserve the right to correct obvious errors in pricing or product information.

5. Placing an Order

When you place an order through the website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected.

After placing an order, you will normally receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received your order.

An order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

A contract for the purchase of products is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order, normally by sending an order confirmation.

If we cannot accept your order, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible and refund any payment already made.

We may decline an order where, for example:

  • a product is unavailable;
  • there is an obvious pricing or product-description error;
  • we are unable to obtain the product from our supplier;
  • the requested configuration is unavailable; or
  • we reasonably believe the order cannot be fulfilled.

6. Payment

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

Payment is processed securely through our payment providers.

We do not normally have access to your complete payment-card details.

An order will not be dispatched until the payment process has been successfully completed, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.

7. Delivery

Delivery arrangements, delivery charges and estimated delivery times are displayed during the ordering process or otherwise communicated to you.

Estimated delivery dates are estimates unless we have expressly agreed a specific delivery date with you.

Some specialist, oversized or mobility products may require additional delivery arrangements. We may contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date or to confirm access requirements.

You should provide accurate delivery information when placing your order.

If goods are delivered to an incorrect address because incorrect information was supplied by you, additional delivery costs may apply where permitted by law.

Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights concerning delivery.

8. Inspection on Delivery

We recommend that you inspect products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If an item appears to have been damaged during delivery, please contact us promptly and provide photographs where possible.

This does not affect your statutory rights if goods are faulty, damaged or do not conform to the contract.

9. Consumer Cancellation Rights

If you are purchasing as a consumer through our website, you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract without giving a reason.

Under Irish consumer law, the standard cancellation period for many distance sales of goods is 14 days from the day on which you, or a person nominated by you, acquire physical possession of the goods, subject to statutory exceptions.

Where the cancellation right applies, you must notify us clearly that you wish to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.

You must then return the goods within the period required by law.

Certain products or circumstances may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right. Where an exception applies, we will provide the required information before you are bound by the contract.

Our separate Return and Refund Policy provides further information about how to exercise cancellation and return rights.

10. Faulty, Damaged or Non-Conforming Goods

Your statutory rights apply where products are faulty, damaged, not as described, or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Where a product is faulty, we will deal with the matter in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Depending on the circumstances and the applicable statutory remedies, this may include repair, replacement, price reduction, termination of the contract and/or refund.

Irish consumer law provides specific remedies for faulty goods, including a short-term right to terminate in certain circumstances within 30 days and further remedies thereafter.

We will not ask you to surrender a statutory right to which you are legally entitled.

If you believe a product is faulty, please contact:

Email: info@aonahealthcare.com
Telephone: +353 71 9173454

Please provide your order number and details of the problem.

11. Returns

Returns are dealt with in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy and applicable Irish and EU consumer law.

Nothing in our returns procedure limits your statutory rights.

Where a return is required because goods are faulty, damaged or do not conform to the contract, Aona Healthcare will meet applicable statutory obligations regarding return costs.

12. Manufacturer Warranties

Some products may include a manufacturer's warranty in addition to your statutory consumer rights.

A manufacturer's warranty is additional to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.

Where a manufacturer warranty applies, we may assist you in contacting the manufacturer or authorised service provider where appropriate.

13. Product Use and Safety

Products must be used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and any applicable safety information.

Where a product requires professional assessment, fitting, installation, adjustment or training, you should follow the manufacturer's and/or relevant professional recommendations.

Aona Healthcare is not responsible for damage or injury caused by misuse, modification, incorrect assembly, failure to follow safety instructions, or use outside the manufacturer's specified conditions, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

14. Accessibility and Product Suitability

Some mobility and healthcare products require consideration of factors such as:

  • user weight and dimensions;
  • posture and positioning;
  • physical ability;
  • environment of use;
  • transfer requirements;
  • terrain;
  • vehicle compatibility;
  • accessibility requirements; and
  • clinical or therapeutic objectives.

Where appropriate, we may recommend obtaining professional advice before purchase.

Any recommendation or assistance provided by Aona Healthcare does not remove the responsibility to follow applicable clinical, manufacturer or safety guidance.

15. Website Information

We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that:

  • every product is continuously available;
  • every product photograph exactly represents the supplied configuration;
  • every manufacturer specification remains unchanged; or
  • the website will always operate without interruption or error.

We may update, amend or remove website content from time to time.

16. Intellectual Property

The content of this website, including text, graphics, photographs, logos, trademarks, designs and other material, is owned by or licensed to Aona Healthcare or the relevant rights holder.

You may use the website for personal and legitimate purchasing purposes.

You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or commercially exploit website content without appropriate permission.

17. Third-Party Websites and Manufacturers

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or manufacturer resources.

These websites are operated independently from Aona Healthcare. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.

You should review the terms and privacy policies of third-party websites before using them.

18. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability which applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

Subject to the above, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable consequence of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights or remedies.

19. Business Customers

Where you purchase products wholly or primarily for purposes relating to your trade, business, craft or profession, different contractual and legal provisions may apply.

Where a purchase is made on behalf of a business, the purchaser confirms that they have authority to place the order on behalf of that business.

Nothing in these Terms affects rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

20. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By placing an order, you acknowledge that your information will need to be processed for purposes including order processing, payment, delivery, customer service and legal or regulatory obligations.

21. Complaints

Ireland F91 WP0Y

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.

If you are a consumer resident in another jurisdiction, you may also have mandatory consumer rights under the laws applicable to you which cannot be removed by these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising a statutory right to bring proceedings in a court having jurisdiction under applicable law.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, products or legal requirements.

The version applying to your order will be the version in force when the contract was formed, unless a change is required by law.

One important point before you publish this

I would not put a blanket statement such as "all sales are final", a blanket "no refunds", or a very restrictive warranty/liability clause into the Aona terms. Irish consumer law gives consumers statutory remedies for faulty/non-conforming goods, and unfair terms cannot simply be used to remove those rights.

Also, because your store sells large and specialist mobility equipment, we should make the Return & Refund Policy separately and carefully. That is where we should deal with legitimate issues such as bespoke/customised products, hygiene-related exceptions where legally applicable, return arrangements for bulky goods, and who pays return costs.
